Moving Well Physical Therapy
Moving Well Physical Therapy was established in March of 2005 under the direction of Physical Therapist Dan Miller, PT, MS. The name of this company was not by chance, in fact the statement 'moving well' is the quest for the patients of Dan and fellow Physical Therapist Amy Skoluat.
Dan and Amy are graduates of the University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Class of 1998 Physical Therapy Program.
Moving Well Physical Therapy offers a holistic and personalized treatment approach designed to maximize movement health and physical well-being.
When our bodies are Moving Well we physically feel well. This is a reflection of the harmony of the component parts of the system.
Our bodies are designed to support multiple functional tasks, from the very simple to the very complex. Within these motions lies precise communications within our nerves, muscles and joints.
Throughout our lives our bodies are susceptible to both positive and negative forces. These forces ultimately support our health or lead to the deterioration of our musculo-skeletal systems. The patients at Moving Well many times seek help for the chronic types of pain as opposed to a one event or acute injury. Chronic pains are often related to what is known as micro-traumas or the accumulation of negative forces beyond the body’s capacity to repair itself.
The role of Dan and Amy is to identify and address the potentially multiple contributors that have led to symptoms such as pain, tightness, weakness, excessive fatigue, and non restorative sleep. The goal of Dan and Amy is to restore movement health of each of their patients to the level where their daily lives become therapeutic.
